Duties
Two-day meetings four times a year. Defines and fulfills the seminary's mission, operates and manages it as an agent of the Synod, serves as its governing body, establishes and reviews policies, promotes public relations, approves budgets, and in every way promotes the well-being of the seminary.
Desired qualifications
Same standard as CSL: spiritual, academic, and financial responsibility for the institution; acquaintance with current trends in education; strong commitment to Christian education with special interest in preparing church workers; helpful prior experience on educational boards or in finance, personnel, corporate administration, planning, or facility management.
Additional regulations
- No more than two elective members of a college, university, or seminary board of regents may be members of the same congregation.
