WHEREAS, Lutheran Hour Ministries (The International Lutheran Laymen’s League, [LHM]) has served for more than a century and is recognized as a valued auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS); and
WHEREAS, Through God's blessing, LHM has shared the Gospel with millions of people throughout the world and has served alongside congregations, districts, and Synod ministries under the mission of “Bringing Christ to the Nations®–40 and the Nations to the Church”; and
WHEREAS, LHM and the Synod share a common commitment to proclaiming Christ crucified and risen, making disciples, and bringing the hope of the Gospel to a world in need; and
WHEREAS, Continued cooperation between LHM and the Synod provides opportunities to strengthen Gospel outreach and exercise faithful stewardship of the resources entrusted by God to His Church; therefore be it
Resolved, That the Synod in convention give thanks to a lmighty God for the more than 100 years of faithful witness and service of LHM and commend its ongoing work of proclaiming Christ to the world; and be it further
Resolved, That the Synod request LHM and the Chief Mission Officer of the Synod to identify opportunities for strategic collaboration and to work towards enhanced partnership for the faithful stewardship of resources in support of their shared mission.
