To Give Thanks for Concordia College—New York

WHEREAS, Concordia College—New York (CCNY) served as an institution of higher education for over 140 years; and

WHEREAS, Through the Concordia University System, countless women and men receiveaquality,Christian education to be sent out to live their vocations in the name of Jesus; and

WHEREAS, CCNY continues to have a significant impact on the church at large through the witness of the priesthood of believers who attended the college; and

WHEREAS, The Southeastern District in its 2022 convention voted to forward this overture to the Synod convention for consideration; therefore be it

Resolved, That Synod in convention give thanks to God for CCNY and its contribution to the wider church and society.
